Homemade Hand Warmers

I am a naturally cold person. My hubby complains year round that I am ice cold. Whenever we sit to watch a movie, I always snuggle up with a blanket… even if it is 110 degrees outside. And worst of all, my hands are always icicles. Now that the weather is getting more fall-like, I am even more prone to chilly hands. So when I saw these adorable little homemade hand warmers over on The Scrap Shoppe, I knew that I would be making them.

Even if you aren’t a naturally cold person there is always Christmas to think about! And I don’t know if all of you are aware of this, but it is 71 days until Christmas. It really is! I counted. You could easily make a couple of these for some of your cold-blooded friends or family!

Apple Crisp

Some of you may remember that a few weeks ago I did a guest post for my friend, Sarah, on her blog High Heels and Grills. And I thought it was about time for me to share that recipe with you!

Easy Envelope Bookmarks

Today’s post is brought to you by the letter “B”. Or maybe it should be because it is about bookmarks and reading. And because whenever I talk about reading I think of Sesame Street.

Easy Envelope Bookmarks

I’ve always been a reader. I may or may not have read the entire Hunger Games series in 4 days. I also may have just finished the Harry Potter series in about 2 weeks and already be in the middle of another series.

You can always tell my favorite books by the number of times pages have been dog-earred to mark my place in the book. I was inspired when I saw these darling bookmarks from Craft and Creativity and thought it was about time I stop damaging my books, grow up, and make a bookmark!

A Story of a Cheese Board Turned DIY Cloche

As you may have noticed, I have a love of all things thrifty. I love starting out with something and turning it into something else unexpected. Because of my love of thrifty things, I tend to frequent thrift stores a lot. Imagine that! Finding thrifty things at a thrift store!? Who’d a thunk!?

Love, Pomegranate House: DIY Cloche from a Cheese Board

As I was walking the aisles at my thrift store I happened upon this adorable little cheese board. And, well, there is no need for a cheese board in this house. Why, you might ask? I love cheese. Sure, you might say you love cheese but I loooove cheese. Give me just about any food with cheese on it and I will eat it {notice I said “just about”. Don’t go sending me pickles covered in cheese.} Therefore, cheese does not last long in this house. So, I thought I could turn my adorable little cheese board into a little cloche!
