Hello all my wonderful friends! Thanks to the wonder that is technology (woo for scheduling posts), I am currently on a plane to Orlando, Florida for a week with family in Disney World! Woot!
Even though I’m gone, I wanted to share one more post with you guys before taking a week off. Today I’m sharing a recipe that screams “FALL!” to me. I know that donuts aren’t necessarily a fall food, but these Cinnamon Sugar Baked Donuts definitely taste a bit like fall. Plus, they are baked. And turning on the oven is definitely not something that I am willing to do in the summer heat. They are tasty and cakey and all things yummy. Continue reading
The front of my house is sad.
There. I said it. The yard is basically a dirt/mulch pit. There are about 6 full grown trees too many. Plus uncontrollable bushes. You can barely see the front of the house but I’m working on it. I’ve spent countless hours weeding and cleaning things up but we are still a long way from perfect. I’ve hung some pots and painted the front door a fun inviting color. I’ve also added some potted plants… but things were still lacking. So when Lullaby Paints sent me some of their awesome chalkboard paint, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it. I decided to add a fun pop to our front entry with a DIY Chalkboard Entry Sign!
This is the awesome kit that comes when you purchase Lullaby Paints. Not only do you get the chalkboard paint, but you also get a mini roller, disposable tray, a small roll of painters tape, and a few sticks of chalk. I love it! This kit is awesome! Plus, did you notice all the colors that their chalkboard paint comes in?? Love. Continue reading
I have a confession. I shared this post over on Tatertots & Jello last December and I totally forgot to share it over here. And that is a BIG mistake on my part. Mostly because this is one of my top 10 FAVORITE recipes of all time. This recipe was given to me by a dear friend and I love her to death for giving it to me! But seriously. If this amazingly Zesty Crab Dip is anywhere near me… I hoard it… in a get-the-heck-away-from-me-I’m-going-to-lick-the-bowl-clean kind of way. This is definitely a recipe you want in your arsenal especially with all the football parties coming up!
It’s that time of the month again. No… not the one that guys get super uncomfortable with. It’s time when I’m sharing a fun project over on I Heart Naptime. This time I think I have outdone myself. But seriously. I think these Apple Cider Caramels may be my all time favorite thing I’ve ever made. They are freakin’ amazing. I think I ate 7 of them just writing my post for Jamielyn. They are addicting. So
run click! Don’t walk! These apple cider caramels will not disappoint!
HI!!! It is so good to be back to DIY-ing after being gone on a mini-vacay to Tennessee this past week. While my hubby attended a nerdy conference I got to hang out with my sister, brother-in-law, and 3 nieces! It was great. Anywho, back to the crafting. Not too long ago I was sent the most wonderful box of goodies. Let me tell you, opening a box full of Martha Stewart Decoupage items can make a girl’s day.
I found fabric-to-fabric medium, oil cloth finish, some Martha paints, soft bristle brushes, beautiful lace trims and fabric cut-outs. I knew instantly that I wanted to create a lace trimmed pillow. I’ve been meaning to update some of my pillows to go with our new home colors so this was a perfect opportunity!
