“Silver bells! Silver bells! It’s Christmas time in the city. Ring-a-ling hear them sing! Soon it will be Christmas day!”
I love the sounds of Christmas! Music playing and Salvation Army Santas ringing their bells. I remember how my mom hung a bell on the back of our front door one Christmas so anyone coming into our house would be announced by the jingle of our little bell! We loved that bell and decided to keep it up year round. I just love the tinkle of jingle bells. And when I’m all snuggled up in my warm home, I miss the sound of those jingle bells! So I decided to make my very own little Jingle Bell Wreath!
This awesome little project probably only took me about 15 minutes to make too! It was so simple!
A few notes:
- My bells were 15 mm bells. You could use any size you want. I used the entire package of them on my Jingle Bell Wreath. But you can make this wreath as big or as small as you want!
- I used the wire I had on hand, which was picture hanging wire. It doesn’t matter too much what kind of wire you use as long as it is strong enough to hold a circle form and not too thick that you can’t thread your bells onto it.
- I closed the wire by finishing one end of the wire with another loop closure and hooking them together.
- I attached the bow with a small piece of wire.
I love how this simple project turned out! It brings just the perfect pop of Christmas cheer into my home! I find myself opening the door a little more just to hear them jingle! But then the chilly air was coming in so I moved it over to my hutch!
But if you don’t want to put this on your door… you could always add it to your Christmas tree as another ornament!
Speaking of Christmas sounds… what is your favorite Christmas song?
