Look at me! I’m posting again! I told you I was back! I have a whole slew of things to show you around the new house {how would you like a little virtual tour??} but for now I thought I would get back to normal and start off with my Friday recipes! On the docket today Copycat Chick-Fil-A Nuggets & Sauce.

I never really got the whole CFA craze until we moved out to Colorado 1.5 years ago. Don’t start throwing stones at me or anything. There were no CFAs in my hometown until last year. And my only other experience with CFA before then was a bad one. It had me soured on them. See, when I was in college I decided to check out what all the hub-bub was about and I ordered a chicken sandwich from a CFA. I asked for no pickles on it because I hate… no… I loathe pickles. Who knows why. I just don’t like them one bit. I got my sandwich and bit into it, hoping to experience all of the wonderful things I had heard about CFA only to discover my sandwich dripping in pickle juice. Sure, there were no pickles but only because some punk had pulled them off my already soaked bun! Gross. Double ick.
Fast foward to 1.5 years ago and I decided to give them another try at the request of the hubby. This time I played it safe and ordered the nuggets. There better not be pickle juice on my nuggets. MAN were they good! No more processed meat mush! Real chicken bites! I was hooked. I will now say that I love CFA. In fact, I went there just this week for some nuggets. So good. So when I found this recipe for copycat Chick-Fil-A nuggets, I had to give them a try!

**This weekend, I’m joining with 11 other awesome bloggers to share our favorite Christmas recipes! So come back on Saturday to see all “12 Days” of deliciousness!**

When I think about the Christmas season I think about snow, Christmas music and movies, Christmas decorations and family traditions. My family has so many traditions and I love each and every one of them. My favorite has always been making homemade candies!
When the holidays roll around we set aside a whole day to make so many different types of candies. My mom and grandma would do all the more labor intensive parts and us kids would fight over who would be the “taste tester” {afterall, that is the most important job! My mom would always let all of us “taste test”}! And as us kids got older we all lent a helping hand in the candy making. And even though I am far apart from my family for the holidays, I still love to keep the tradition going! I just make sure I call my mom while I’m in the midst of it! Last week I shared with you one of the candy recipes we always make: Nuts & Bolts Candy Clusters. Today I’m sharing my all-time favorite candy: Peppermint Christmas Candies!

Fall is the season when pumpkin and apple dishes come out of the woodwork. They are everywhere you look… and I LOVE IT. I love me some good pumpkin dishes {my friend, Melanie, keeps tempting me with pumpkin ravioli!} but, for me, apple is where it is at {gasp! What!? The girl with the magnificent pumpkin roll!?}. Yes, I’m an apple fiend. I could eat apple dishes year round. I just love apples.

So when I stumbled across this recipe for a Caramel Apple Dip, I knew I had to give it a try {with my own twist, of course!}.

Fall is definitely in the air and it is time that I start baking some delicious foods containing pumpkin, cinnamon, and/or apples! You may not know this, but I have something of a sweet tooth. In fact, I think my tooth is made out of sugar. I love desserts {the proof is in my Pinterest boards. There are about 5x as many pins under my “Sweet Treats” board! Or in my recipes I’ve posted about: most being desserts!} So with autumn settling in and beginning to change the leaves from green to burnt orange, I bought my first can of pumpkin to make this perfect pumpkin roll. I say first because I expect there will be MANY more cans bought and used around here!
