Gingerbread Cider {Guest Post}

Today is the last day of guest posts I have set for all of you! The hubby and I are heading back home tomorrow!

I want to introduce you to another of my favorite bloggers! Her name is Alyssa from The Recipe Critic. She is probably one of the sweetest people I’ve never met! We became fast friends and I can’t go a day without going to her blog and drooling over some food! Alyssa has a fantastic recipe for all of you today. The floor is yours, Alyssa!

I am so glad that Talitha gave me the opportunity to come over and guest post today.  I absolutely love this girl!  We have become friends through our blogs and she is the sweetest, nicest blogger I know!  Not to mention I love her blog and all of the fun ideas and recipes she has.

I am Alyssa over at The Recipe Critic.  I am always testing out delicious recipes in my kitchen.  My family rates and reviews the recipes and I give my personal input on how the recipe can be changed or things that I did differently.  I have always loved to cook!  I especially love this time of year with all of the fun holiday treats and family traditions.   We always love being warm and cozy in our house snuggling up in a blanket sipping on some hot cider or chocolate.  One of our absolutely favorite cider recipe is this Gingerbread Cider.  My neighbor gave me this recipe and told me that we had to try it!  We loved it!  It has the perfect spices in it and makes it absolutely delicious.  It is always fun to be with the family making up some of this hot gingerbread cider and a fresh batch of gingerbread cookies!

Gingerbread Cider
Recipe type: Beverages
  • ½ gallon 100% Apple Cider
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  1. Pour the apple cider in a big pot. Turn the stove on medium low, but don’t allow it to get too hot.
  2. Add the sugar and spices.
  3. Heat up the cider to temperature that is desired.
  4. Let simmer for about 20 minutes and serve!

I hope you all have a warm and safe holiday season!  Thanks so much Talitha for letting me guest post today.  And you can stay connected with The Recipe Critic through facebook, pinterest, and twitter!
