Fall Felt Wreath + 75 Fall Harvest Ideas Round Up!

Hey all! How on earth is it already the middle of October!? I mean, wasn’t it just June? And wasn’t yesterday just 1989? Oh wait, that was just all the 80s fashion that is back. Thank you so much to all of you for your well wishes on my health. I was sick for 3 weeks and was barely able to function. I am happy to report that I am 95% better. I just a tiny bit of a lingering cough, but I am feeling so much better. It’s a pleasure to be able to breath out of my nose again and to yawn without coughing up a lung. Don’t take it for granted, people.

Anywho, I’m teaming up with 75 of my bloggy besties to share TONS of fall decorating, crafts, and food ideas. That is all down below. But first, check out my awesome new fall felt wreath! I was really wanting to go with something untraditional and full of fun pops of color so this is what I came up with! I know, I know… my name is Talitha and I’m a wreath-aholic. I believe this is my 10th wreath I’ve shared on LPH. Its a sickness really. I think I need to start selling them to neighbors. Or better yet! Just start attaching them to peoples’ doors! If you live in the southern Denver, Colorado area and randomly find a wreath attached to your door… it is just me making room for my next batch of wreaths.

Here’s what you need:

  • Straw wreath form
  • 1 skein of yarn
  • Felt of whatever colors you want
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors

Herein begins the tedious, takes-forever-sit-and-watch-a-gilmore-girls-marathon part. Wrap your wreath with the yarn, securing it with a dot of hot glue gun on the back of the wreath every few inches. It can take a while, but it is worth it. I promise.

Now take  your felt and cut out some leaf shapes. I free-handed all of these. I also did an even number of each color, but you can certainly cut out as many of each as you want.

Glue them all to your wreath in whatever pattern your cute little heart desires. I’m all OCD and really wanted the colors to be mixed evenly. Which only kinda works and took me forever to figure out.

I threw some extra lace ribbon around it and hung it up on our door! TA-DA! Fancy and festive!

Now for the rest of the fun! I’ve teamed up with a group of 75 awesome bloggers to share tons of Fall Harvest Ideas with you! From crafts, to recipes, to home decor and more…we have you covered for Fall inspiration!
