Creamy Tomato Tortellini Soup

During the cold winter months there is nothing I love more than a hot cup of soup. Well, it has already been warming up nicely around here but I still can use the January date as a reason to make a soup! Growing up, one of my favorite soups was good ole’ Campbell’s tomato soup. So when I found this recipe for an adult version that uses Campbell’s tomato soup as a base, I knew I had to try it! I present to you Creamy Tomato Tortellini Soup!

Homemade Vanilla Sugar & Printable Labels

You may remember that during the holiday season I shared a recipe for Homemade Vanilla Extract. After I made all of my extract I still had some beans left over. Immediately I began dreaming of vanilla bean ice cream and vanilla bean cupcakes with a vanilla bean buttercream frosting. {Oh excuse me… I just need to wipe some drool off my chin.} But then I happened upon the idea of vanilla sugar! So, of course, being the crafty lady I am, I decided to make my own Homemade Vanilla Sugar! Not only does this work as a great treat for me, but it doubles as a Valentine’s treat to someone “sweet” in my life!

Top Posts of 2012

I know, I know… I’m slow on the uptake once again. You’ve probably seen all over blog land people sharing their top blog posts from 2012. I’ve been wanting to jump on the bandwagon but I was still getting settled in after our vacay to Chicago to see family. So now that we are 2 days into the new year, I’ve had some time to reflect on all that 2012 brought my way.

It was a wonderful year full of many ups and downs, many trials and many joys. I thank God for all He did in 2012! Afterall, this little blog was started in 2012! 😉 And even though I’m slow in saying it… 2013 is here and I can’t wait to see what God does this year!

I can’t even begin to thank each and every one of you for all your support through the year! Your sweet comments and messages are really what keep me blogging! I treasure each and every one of you!!

Gingerbread Cider {Guest Post}

Today is the last day of guest posts I have set for all of you! The hubby and I are heading back home tomorrow!

I want to introduce you to another of my favorite bloggers! Her name is Alyssa from The Recipe Critic. She is probably one of the sweetest people I’ve never met! We became fast friends and I can’t go a day without going to her blog and drooling over some food! Alyssa has a fantastic recipe for all of you today. The floor is yours, Alyssa!

I am so glad that Talitha gave me the opportunity to come over and guest post today.  I absolutely love this girl!  We have become friends through our blogs and she is the sweetest, nicest blogger I know!  Not to mention I love her blog and all of the fun ideas and recipes she has.

I am Alyssa over at The Recipe Critic.  I am always testing out delicious recipes in my kitchen.  My family rates and reviews the recipes and I give my personal input on how the recipe can be changed or things that I did differently.  I have always loved to cook!  I especially love this time of year with all of the fun holiday treats and family traditions.   We always love being warm and cozy in our house snuggling up in a blanket sipping on some hot cider or chocolate.  One of our absolutely favorite cider recipe is this Gingerbread Cider.  My neighbor gave me this recipe and told me that we had to try it!  We loved it!  It has the perfect spices in it and makes it absolutely delicious.  It is always fun to be with the family making up some of this hot gingerbread cider and a fresh batch of gingerbread cookies!
