Hi guys!! Hi! How was your weekend? Our was very busy and also low key. The pup got spayed on Friday so we tried to keep thing calm to allow her time to heal. But you know me, I had to sneak a DIY or 3 in when I could! 😉
Anywho, last week you saw our gorgeous new cabinet door knobs. Now I’m finally getting around to sharing how to install cabinet drawer pulls. Let me start by saying that I expected installing drawer pulls on to be just as easy as door knobs. Sure, there is an extra hole needed and make sure it is level, but come on… how hard can it be? That phrase is the kiss of death for DIYs, isn’t it? Installing cabinet drawer pulls isn’t hard… it can just go wrong if you don’t do it correctly. Don’t ask me how I know. 😉
What WHAAT!? The cabinets are getting all prettified! That is Talitha-speak for we installed the hardware on the kitchen cabinets! Woo! Wait… is it weird that I’m so excited for this? I liken cabinet hardware to wearing earrings. It takes me forever to pick them out, but once I do, wow! What a difference! Today we are just going to take on hardware part 1: how-to install cabinet door knobs.
My walls are boring. There. I said it. We have been working hard on this little house of ours since we moved in last April. But bigger projects have been our priority. We painted them. And I hung a gallery wall in the hallway. But that is about it. And my nekkid walls (especially in the living room) were really starting to bug me. Because our walls are nice and tall and there was so much open space above our TV, I wanted something big. And rustic. And schmancy. No piddly little artwork for this girl. So I pulled on my thinking cap and slipped into my artsy pants (look at me all clothed in imaginary things! Wait. Scratch that. I do, in fact, have pants on) and set to work making my very own large scale rustic world map.
I’ve done it! I’ve finally done it! It has been 2.5 months in the making but I finally did it! My vintage bentwood rocking chair has gotten a makeover. It took me forever but I finally got around to it. Is it just me or is your to-do list getting longer by the minute!? Make it stop! Let me do a little catch up! Continue reading
It’s January. It’s the month when people have made resolutions for the new year and are trying hard to stick with them. I don’t really do resolutions anymore (because I inevitably break them on January 3rd) but I do try to set goals for myself. And let’s be honest, I feel way less bad when I don’t accomplish a goal than when I break a resolution. It’s all in the wording, people. And like a lot of people, one of my goals is to be more organized.
I realize that 99% of people who know me in real life are going to laugh at that goal. I am crazy organized. Clutter and disorganization drives me nuts. But even I have a few Monica’s secret closet spots. Sure, they aren’t that bad, but they are definitely more clutter than function. So when Rubbermaid and Home Depot asked me to check out their new All Access storage line, I was all about organizing and giving a mini-makeover to one of my least functional spaces, the linen closet.
